Italicus Liqueur is a beautifully polished Italian aperitivo that brings a more elegant, floral kind of citrus character to the glass. Known formally as Italicus Rosolio di Bergamotto, it draws on the old Italian rosolio tradition and puts bergamot front and centre, giving it a profile that feels bright, lightly bitter and unmistakably Mediterranean. It is an easy bottle to love if you are into aperitif-style drinks that feel fresh, refined and a little bit special.
This bergamot-led liqueur is made with Calabrian bergamot and Sicilian cedro citrus, layered with botanicals including chamomile, lavender, gentian, yellow rose and lemon balm. The result is softly citrusy and aromatic, with hints of rose and lavender on the nose, then ripe citrus, floral spice and a gentle bitter edge through the palate. It is particularly good served with prosecco over ice, but it also works brilliantly in spritz-style drinks when you want something a bit more premium than the usual aperitif lineup.
