Johnnie Walker Double Black Label Whisky 700ml

The story of Johnnie Walker begins with the man who gave the whisky his name. The year was 1819 and John Walker had inherited his own grocer’s shop in the thriving Scottish town of Kilmarnock, a safe living in hard times, though his passion remained with whisky. In those days, most grocers stocked a line of single malts, but they were rarely consistent. This wasn’t good enough for Johnnie boy, who started blending them together so his whisky tasted just as good every time. This, as we now know, proved to be rather popular. By 1920, Johnnie Walker whisky was available in 120 countries and as the century progressed, it became part of global culture. Today, Johnnie Walker is the biggest whisky brand in the world.

Johnnie Walker Double Black was crafted with the goal of elevating the beloved Black Label. By incorporating peaty West Coast whiskies, the Master Distiller magnified the iconic smoky flavours that have established Johnnie Walker as a renowned whiskey brand.

Tasting note

The stronger flavours of Scotland's West Coast and Islands is evident, with hints of peat smoke and rich fruits such as raisins, apples, pears, and citrus. These flavours mellow into sweet vanilla and spice, ultimately leading to a warm finish of oak tannins and lingering smoke.
