To celebrate 15 years of craftsmanship, Kavalan presents the limited edition Kavalan Artist Series - a remarkable collaboration with renowned Taiwanese artist Paul Chiang. This collector’s set features four cask-strength, single cask whiskies, each inspired by the elements Ocean, Sunlight, Air, and Mother Earth.
Each bottle is a canvas, showcasing one of Chiang’s expressive works, and each whisky reflects a chapter in Kavalan’s story - from coastal beginnings to maturation beneath Snow Mountain. Originally released in a highly limited 700ml format, this 1L edition is even rarer, with only 100 sets available outside of Taiwan.
1. Sunlight - French Wine Cask (61.8%)
Painting: “Meditation on Eternity”
Golden rays of berries, blackcurrants, and sweet peppers mingle with apples and caramel. On the palate, it's full-bodied and fruity with notes of dried berries and subtle spice. A hint of soft tannin adds elegance to a bold and radiant finish.
2. Mother Earth - Peated Malt Cask (54.8%)
Painting: “Jinzun / Summer”
Earthy and lush, Mother Earth brings notes of beeswax, toffee, and coconut balanced by tropical fruits. A soft layer of peat and buttered toffee gives way to red pepper spice, longan fruit, and a finish that’s grounded yet graceful.
3. Ocean - Puncheon Cask (55.6%)
Painting: “Pisilian (Morning Stars over the Coast)
Born from Taiwan’s eastern coastline, Ocean opens with aromas of roasted almond biscuits, vanilla, and white peach, touched by maple syrup. The palate offers smooth vanilla and sweet toffee, followed by a burst of tropical fruit and white peach. Rich, layered, and endlessly deep.
4. Air - Virgin Oak Cask (52.4%)
Painting: “On Wings of Song”
Airy and vibrant, this dram floats with smoked plum, purple grapes, buttery vanilla, and beeswax. The palate unfolds with autumn pear, chestnuts, guava, and cinnamon, delivering a rich and lingering finish that soars across the senses.
This is more than a whisky set - it’s a tribute to art, nature, and the spirit of Taiwan.
