Kilchoman Sanaig is a bold Islay single malt that pays tribute to the island’s rugged Atlantic coast. Named after a nearby inlet, this expression marries whisky matured in both bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks, creating a perfect harmony of sweet fruit, spice, and smoky peat.
True to Islay tradition, Kilchoman distills by hand, uses local peat, and bottles on site with no colouring or chill-filtration. The result is a whisky that’s rich, complex and unmistakably Islay.
Tasting Notes
Fragrant heather, raisins, pear and orange peel lead into waves of stone fruit, spice and peat smoke. On the palate, ripe plums and cherries balance with citrus, toffee, oak and dark chocolate. The finish is long and layered with caramel, cinnamon, clove, brown sugar and lingering smoke.
