'PX' sherry is one of the world's great wine styles - a lusciously sweet sherry that's dessert in a glass. Lustau's is one of the very best.
Serve at cool room temperature with rich desserts, Churros (Spanish donuts with chocolate sauce) cakes and pastries, or pour a little over the best quality vanilla ice cream for a traditional Jerez dessert.
Tasting note
Deep, dark brown and viscous, almost black in colour. Ripe fruits, caramel and fruit cake aromas with the distinct grape varietal aroma of the Pedro Ximenez. Rich, sweet, velvety and soft in the mouth, well balanced, with a long finish showing the wine's great age. Very sweet, smooth, pronounced and delicious with Christmas cake, muscavado sugar and raisin characters.
