National Distillery New Zealand Dry Gin is a bold, premium take on the classic London Dry style, made in Napier with enough botanical intensity to seriously stand out. Juniper leads the charge, backed by Hawke’s Bay lemon peel, coriander, and New Zealand orris root, with National Distillery using up to three times the botanical load of many mainstream gins. The result is clean, structured, and packed with flavour, while still staying approachable enough to become a regular home bar pour.
This excellent dry gin has the credentials to match, including Gold at the 2025 New Zealand Small Batch Gin Awards and Gold with 91 points at the 2022 London Spirits Competition. Traditional pine and citrus lead into warm spice and the deeper, finely structured character of orris root, giving it enough weight for a serious Martini or Negroni while still working beautifully with premium tonic.
Tasting Notes
Bold and juniper-led with pine, Hawke’s Bay lemon peel, coriander, and warm spice, followed by earthy orris root and a long, clean, structured finish.
