Planteray Isle of Fiji Rum is a rich, tropical expression that puts the character of Fijian rum front and centre. Made at the Rum Co. of Fiji from molasses produced using locally grown sugarcane, it draws real personality from Fiji’s volcanic soils and tropical climate. The rum is first matured in ex-bourbon casks in Fiji before travelling by sea to France for a second maturation in French oak, building extra softness and complexity around its naturally vibrant fruit character.
This beautifully rounded island rum is packed with cooked pear, banana, toasted coconut and dried fruit, layered with vanilla, honey, ginger and gently spicy oak. There is a subtle smoky edge underneath all that tropical richness, followed by a lingering finish of butterscotch, peach and spice. It is equally comfortable poured neat or worked into a premium rum cocktail. The colourful, net-wrapped bottle, complete with tropical artwork and its unmistakable iguana, gives it plenty of personality on the shelf too. Planteray Isle of Fiji has also collected Gold medals at the 2025 and 2026 Rum & Cachaça Masters.
Tasting Notes
Rich and tropical with cooked pear, ripe banana, toasted coconut and dried fruit, followed by vanilla, honey, ginger and spicy oak through a long finish of butterscotch and peach.
