A superb Central Pinot from the reliable Prophets Rock team, consistently punching above its price point. Showing pristine fruit aromas of dark cherries and plum together which follows through on the palate, with a silky smooth lingering finish. This wine is immediately appealing and approachable but will develop well. Get amongst, once you start, you won't stop.
Tasting note
Dense, charming, sweet Otago black cherry fruit with an attractive tangy plum infusion with hints of liquorice. Nicely contrasted by complex notes of wild thyme, nutmeg/cinnamon, and spicy oak with an endearing suggestion of Black Forest Gateaux on the finish. It has the weight and complexity of wines much more higher in value, enjoy through to 2028.
