Inspired by those who adventure past the known horizons, Sailors Home is the culmination of Master Distiller Dr. Jack Ó'Sé's 40+ years of whiskey journey, creating and innovating exploratory new Irish whiskey expressions for all to discover.
The Caravelle is a reflection of this ethos, infusing Irish whiskey with the unique lush flavours of Martinique Rhum Agricole, one of the distinct Caribbean islands from which rum originated. This is achieved by maturing Irish malt and grain whiskey for 10 years in American Bourbon casks before finishing in selected Martinique rum casks to introduce the earthy and exotic flavour notes typical of this tropical idyll.
Tasting note
The fragrant notes of pineapple, savannah grass, and demerara sugar are present, while the palate offers a balanced blend of creamy toffee, sugar cane, blood orange, and liquorice. The finish is reminiscent of candied bananas, creating a well-rounded experience.
