Each year, New Zealand Gin Day is celebrated with something special - a one-off collaborative gin crafted by distilleries from across the country. Every distillery contributes a signature botanical, with one host distillery taking on the challenge of bringing them all together. For 2025, that role falls to Sandymount Distillery.
The result is a bold and modern gin that captures the spirit of collaboration. Savoury spices and earthy florals take centre stage, balanced with umami depth, a touch of peppery warmth, and a bright citrus finish. It’s a true taste of New Zealand gin-making, bottled as a keepsake for this year’s celebration.
Tasting Notes
Juniper leads on the nose, lifted by piney notes, herbs, spice and a touch of citrus. The palate opens with juniper heat, layered with savoury spices and earthy florals, before finishing with a smooth umami character and lingering citrus tail.
