A New Zealand legend in the making, Scapegrace is produced in a 19th century John Dore copper pot still. Their recipe calls for a careful selection of 12 botanicals, which consists of juniper, coriander, nutmeg, cardamom, lemon peel, orange peel, orris, cinnamon, cassia, angelica, clove and liquorice. It comes presented in a striking bottle inspired by an antique genever bottle - a nod to the spirit's long and storied history, plus, it looks bloody good on the shelf.
Tasting note
Displays pronounced aromatics, a fine balance and a surprisingly long finish. Juniper, orange peel and deep spice dominate. Vibrant in the mouth and smooth but crisp on the palate.
