Shenk’s Homestead is a bold Kentucky sour mash whiskey with deep historical roots. Made with a substantial amount of rye and aged in Chinquapin oak barrels that have been naturally air-dried and seasoned for over three years, this small batch release offers a complex and elegant sipping experience.
The limited edition builds on the success of earlier vintages, using varied char levels to add richness and depth. Expect a well-balanced whiskey with layers of spice, fruit and citrus, and a smooth, refined finish.
Tasting Notes
Aromas of brown sugar blend with baking spice and fresh citrus. The palate offers sweet caramel followed by hints of nutmeg, cloves and dried fruit, finishing smooth and elegant with lingering citrus and gentle oak.
