This single malt whiskey from the famous Teeling distillery underwent 16 years of aging in bourbon barrels before being further matured for 12 months in Akarua's red wine barrels. With only 308 bottles available, this non-chill filtered whiskey has an ABV of 57.4% and is a must-try for any Irish whiskey aficionado.
Tasting Notes
The nose is filled with robust forest fruits, honey, and raisins. Smooth flavours of chocolate ganache and nuttiness are accompanied by a hint of berry compote and a slight touch of orange citrus on the palate. The finish is long lasting, with a generous amount of spicy oak and baking spice, while maintaining a beautifully balanced dryness.
