But the more you enjoy this decadent dram, the more fitting you discover this name to be. Quick-tempered for the way in which the vanilla, caramel and light spice from the initial maturation in virgin American oak quickly makes itself known on the nose and palate. In argument with this, the refill bourbon cask layers corn sweetness on top, perfectly mellowing out the virgin oak. Finally, the muscat cask finish stubbornly dominates the long and moreish finish with lingering notes of ripe red fruit and treacle.
